In cooperation with the SLODRE association, we invite you to the last School Field seminar of this year, where we will familiarize ourselves with the booklet entitled Finland at the Top of Knowledge 2030, which was recently published by CEPS in cooperation with SVIZ. It is a Slovenian translation of the Finnish “study on the future of education”, which was originally a report by the Finnish Education and Training Union (OAJ).
It is widely known that education has led Finland to the group of the most advanced and successful countries in the world, and the OAJ union is striving to ensure that education will be one of the most important investments in Finnish society in the future. In doing so, they are asking themselves an important question: what should Finnish schools be like in the future? Due to the government’s lack of responsiveness, the OAJ union sought answers to this question with its own study, and the booklet presents the main results of this work. We believe that the booklet is extremely relevant outside of Finland and certainly also in our country.
The book will be presented by the editor and author of the foreword, Dr. Slavko Gaber (PeF UL), and will be discussed by Branimir Štrukelj (Secretary General of SVIZ) and Dr. Marjan Šimenc (PeF UL and the Pedagogical Institute). After the introductory presentations, we will have the opportunity for questions and comments, and to discuss everything that the Finnish booklet still reveals.
